Itinerary
Step into Chef Jose’s home for a private hands-on Valencian cooking class and discover the flavors and traditions of his native cuisine. Trained in Michelin-starred restaurants, Jose will guide you in preparing traditional tapas, a Valencian main course, and dessert before you sit down together to enjoy your homemade meal and experience authentic Valencian hospitality. Meet Jose at IVAM and get a guided tour of the neighborhood as you walk 10 minutes to his home. Begin by learning an innovative molecular gastronomy technique followed by crafting a unique and refreshing sangria. Next, delve into the world of rice and paella, learning the secrets and tricks that will help you master paella at home. While your paella cooks, learn to make two tapas from scratch. After cooking, enjoy the meal you helped prepare with Jose at the dining table. Your meal concludes with a creamy mousse for dessert as well as cremaet, considered a Valencian must-try for coffee lovers! Leave with delicious memories and personal recipe book created by Jose with a selection of paellas, tapas, and typical drinks from Valencia and Spain.
