No wonder, it's rated as the most famous highlighted area in the park. The pillars here are bigger-sized than other areas.
Tianzi Mountain

Tianzi means “Heavenly Prince”. actually, he is the real person who leads the local minority to fight with the government army in Ming Dynasty 500 years ago...Mt. Tianzi Area is the very old battle field. Most of the scenic spots there are combined with historical stories and legends of this honorable man. Besides these, Visually, on the Tianzi mountain top, we can experience the most spectacular view of sandstone peak forest in the park featured by its sharp and slim shape. it’s one of the highlights in Zhangjiajie Scenic Area.
Golden Whip Brook

Golden Whip Stream is regarded as the 1 of the most beautiful Streams in China. It’s 6 km long with a well-paved flat walkway at the bottom of a canyon. A tour from a lower perspective will give you a different view of Avatar from the top. And it’s actually closer to nature: You will find hundreds of different-shaped sandstone peaks erecting by the crystal-clear stream,attached with plenty of interesting legends and stories given from locals.the other exciting part is,we may see a lot of cute monkeys on the way. 2-3 hours easy walk with the fresh air, you will definitely have a strong feeling that you are walking into the pure nature. Not more memory from busy and annoying city life.

Day 2 · ZJJ Grand Canyon Glass bridge-Yellow Dragon Cave.Overnight in Wulingyuan Center

This spot is located at the countryside area of Zhangjiajie where you can experience walking on the world longest(430m),also the first glass bridge over nature canyon(300m high).It’s an amazing architecture showing the power of human’s imagination. After the bridge tour,if time allows,you can also pay a visit to the bottom of a pretty Canyon for a 1.5 hours walking trip-all the way with stream,pass a bandit cave,then boat to the exit).
Yellow Dragon Cave

I have to tell you this is the 2nd largest Cave in Asia(3 layers and 13 halls ), reputed as “the Champion of Cave”where all kinds of cave formation can been found in it. and this tour only involves 2/5 of it, but offers a chance to see the gorgeous view from hundreds of Stalagmite and Stalactite by foot and boat. and it's the only place to see the beautiful inner world of amazing Zhangjiajie.

Both are world-class scenery, so it's a must-visit highlight of this city you should not miss. Baofeng Lake

This pretty lake lies high on top of sandstone mountains. At this spot, we could enjoy the view of Avatar Mountains on water, while, hearing lovely Tujia folk songs from young girls and boys in wooden boat and knowing interesting stories of how the lake is formed. Not hard physically but very relaxing.
