At 09:00 AM pick-up from your hotel and visit to St John's Church - St. John’s church Kolkata, which is also known as Stone Church or Pathure Girja, in Kolkata West Bengal is one such place that transports you back to the colonial days.

St. John’s Church is one of the oldest churches in the city and was built during the days when Kolkata used to be the British capital. This church was the Anglican cathedral from 1815 till 1847 when St. Paul’s Cathedral got that designation.

After this visit to Dalhousie Square - Dalhousie Square, now known as the Binoy Badal Dinesh Bagh (named after the three revolutionary, freedom fighters of Bengal), was the seat of power and administration during the British Colonial rule in Kolkata. It was also the centre of business with an impressive number of important institutions, financial establishments, banks, corporations and other commercial activities. In fact, the area still remains the central business district of the entire Eastern India.

  2. Victoria Memorial Hall

    one hour Admission included

After this visit to Victoria Memorial, one of the finest pieces of architecture. In the heart of the bustling metro city of Kolkata, Victoria Memorial stands as a reminiscence of erstwhile colonial grandeur.

The white marble monument is a perfect representation of sheer magnificence that entices its visitors and leaves them awestruck. The idea of the monument was conceptualized by Lord George Curzon, 1st Marquess Curzon of Kedleston and Viceroy of India as a ‘stately’ memorial for deceased Queen Victoria, the first Empress of British India.

  3. St. Paul's Cathedral

    one hour Admission included

St Paul’s Cathedral is acknowledged as the first Episcopal Church of the eastern world. It is an Anglican cathedral of the Church of North India. Besides, being a religious site, the cathedral is also an architectural marvel. St. Paul’s Cathedral is 247 feet in length, 81 feet in width and 114 feet at transept. The flagstaff rises to a height of 175 feet above ground level. The St. Paul’s Cathedral took eight years to be built at a whopping cost of Rs. 5 lakhs (Five Hundred Thousand rupees) and was finally consecrated by Bishop Wilson on 8th October 1847.

  5. Stop 5

    one hour Admission included

After this visit to Mother Teresa House and Orphanage - Considered as pilgrimage rather than a tourist place, the Mother House in Kolkata is a holy and very serene place that one can be at. The Mother House is the Head Quarter of the Missionaries of Charity that pulls thousands of visitors from all around the world.

Mother House was founded in 1950 with a single purpose of selfless service towards the underprivileged and poorest of the poor. The members of the congregation take vows of poverty, chastity and obedience along with a 4th additional but the most important of all the vows of giving “wholehearted selfless and free service to the poorest among the poor”.

  6. Stop 6

    one hour Admission included

Later in day Walk through Kumartuli Potter's Lane - Kumartuli, Kolkata’s potters’ colony has been churning out clay statues and idols by the dozens round the year. The area’s name is derived from the Bengali ‘kumhor’ or potter, and ‘tuli’ or small space. It is as old as the city of Kolkata, which was created by the East India Company by building settlements in a few scattered villages.

The winding lanes are filled with more ramshackle workshops flanked by countless figures and statues. The artisans here have been in this profession for generations, carrying on a 300-year-old tradition of craftsmanship, since the days of the East India Company when the city was created and areas divided according to workers from different professions and industries.

  7. Howrah Bridge

    2 hours Admission included

After this visit to Howrah Bridge - The Howrah Bridge is a balanced cantilever bridge over the Hooghly River in West Bengal.
