About this activity
Jalun and Bubu Dreaming is a full‑day cultural journey across Kuku Yalanji Country, guided by Traditional Custodians. Begin with a Smoking and Grounding Ceremony before exploring Cooya Beach and hearing Dreamtime creation stories. Visit Mossman Gorge to learn about sacred rainforest places and truth‑telling around post‑colonisation history. Continue to Whyanbeel Valley to see traditional stone axe and weapon‑making grounds, then to Rocky Point to discover ancient fish traps shaped by tidal knowledge. Travel through the Daintree region identifying bush tuka and medijin plants, finishing at Cape Kimberley and Cape Tribulation where rainforest meets reef. A powerful cultural immersion connecting you to land, sea and story.
