About this activity

Discover Yerevan in a different and more authentic way.

Most city tours are done by car or entirely on foot, which means visitors often miss one of Yerevan’s most interesting and overlooked attractions, its metro system. While the Yerevan Metro is not very large, its stations contain unique architectural and artistic details that reflect Armenian culture, history, and the spirit of the city.

This experience combines the highlights of Yerevan with the opportunity to explore the metro like a local, offering a deeper understanding of daily life in the capital. Along the way, you'll discover historic landmarks, cultural treasures, and hidden details that many travelers never notice.

Perfect for curious travelers who want to go beyond the usual tourist routes and experience a side of Yerevan that is both authentic and memorable.

Itinerary

  1. Republic Square

    Passing by

Our tour begins at the famous Clock Tower of Republic Square, the vibrant heart of Yerevan. As the city's central square and administrative hub, it is home to key government institutions and some of the finest examples of Armenian architecture. This is the perfect starting point to discover the story of Yerevan.

  2. Yerevan

    Passing by

Next, we walk along Abovyan Street, one of Yerevan's oldest streets, where beautiful 19th- and early 20th-century buildings reflect the city's rich history and architectural charm.

  3. Katoghike Church

    Passing by

We will then make a spiritual stop at Katoghike Church, one of the oldest surviving churches in Yerevan. Dating back to the 13th century, this small yet remarkable medieval church offers a peaceful atmosphere and a glimpse into Armenia's rich Christian heritage.

  4. Stop 4

    Passing by

We will continue to Yeritasardakan Metro Station. The name Yeritasardakan means "Youth," reflecting the youthful and lively character of this part of the city. The station is known for its remarkable architectural design and engineering solutions, making it one of the most distinctive stations in the Yerevan Metro system.

  5. Stop 5

    20 min Admission included

We will then visit Sasuntsi Davit Railway Station, the main railway gateway to Armenia, followed by the iconic Sasuntsi Davit Statue located in the station square. The monument depicts David of Sassoun, the legendary hero of the Armenian national epic, symbolizing courage, strength, and the enduring spirit of the Armenian people. The statue is considered one of the masterpieces of Armenian monumental art and is among the most recognizable landmarks in Yerevan.

  6. Lovers' Park

    Passing by

Our tour continues to Lovers' Park, one of Yerevan's most beautiful green spaces, before heading to National Assembly of Armenia and Presidential Residence along Marshal Baghramyan Avenue. This elegant avenue is home to some of the country's most important political institutions and offers insight into Armenia's modern statehood, architecture, and urban development.

  7. Cascade Complex
