Itinerary

  1. Coromandel Forest Park

    3 hours Admission included

    Discover New Zealand's unique flora and fauna, and enjoy learning about local history. Meet some of our "friends" from the natural world. This is a very easy walk of less than 1km with your knowledgeable guide.

  2. Stop 2

    2 hours

    Enjoy sweeping coastal views and learn about Maori culture. For the more mobile guest there is an option to take an easy walk to Cathedral Cove, which is 2.6km return.

  3. Hot Water Beach

    40 min

    Take a very short barefoot walk down the beach and experience the geothermal water bubbling from the sand. Your guide will show you the exact spot where this unique phenomenon occurs.

  4. Cooks Beach

    30 min

    Not only is this a beautiful beach, but it is the place where British explorer James Cook spent 10 days in November 1769. Learn what he did there, and why it is so unique to New Zealand history.
