Day 1 · Nairobi - Mt Kenya National Park - First camp

Kenya Wildlife Service

Depart Nairobi early morning . Drive to Mt. Kenya National Park entrance. Have some light snacks and lunch. Begin the trek through dense montane forest and bamboo zones, with chances to spot colobus monkeys, birds, and buffalo tracks.

Attractions include lush forest trails, wildlife, cool climate, and the transformation from lowland to alpine scenery.

Day 2 · First Camp trek to Second Camp

The second day sees you trek/hike above the forest line in to dramatic moorland and rocky alpine zones. Cross glacial streams and enjoy paranomic views of Mt Kenya high peaks.

Day 3 · Camp 2 to Summit point- Lenana

Begin summit push at 0300hr under the stars. Reach point Lenana by sunrise- the highest trekking point on Mt. Kenya. Take some awesome photos, soak in the views, and descend back down to second camp for breakfast and further down after for the days trek.

Day 4 · Camp 1 to Mountain Gate exit to Nairobi.

After breakfast, continue trekking down through moorland and montane forest and complete the descent to exit the park.

The days attractions range from peaceful trail walk, possible wildlife sighting and a final goodbye to Kenya's tallest mountain.
