5 Days Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru & Lake Naivasha Private Safari

Day 1 · Nairobi to Masai Mara

   Great Rift Valley

   Pick up from Airport/Residence/Hotel. Depart Nairobi early in the morning for the Masai Mara, a drive of about 5–6 hours through the scenic Great Rift Valley. Stop briefly at a viewpoint to admire the sweeping landscapes before continuing to the reserve.

   Maasai Mara National Reserve

   4 hours

   You’ll arrive at your lodge or camp by around 1:00 PM, just in time for check-in and lunch. After a short rest, set out for an afternoon game drive from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM in the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve. This will be your first opportunity to spot lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and many other species in their natural habitat. After the drive, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay inside or near the reserve.

Day 2 · Full-Day Game Drive in Masai Mara

   Masai Mara National Reserve

   11 hours Admission included

   After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive with a packed picnic lunch. Spend the day exploring the Mara’s vast plains, home to some of Africa’s greatest concentrations of wildlife.

   Look out for the Big Five, predators such as lions and cheetahs, and herds of wildebeest and antelope. Along the Mara River, you may spot hippos and crocodiles basking near the water.

   Enjoy your picnic lunch in the heart of the reserve before continuing the adventure. Later in the afternoon, return to your camp for dinner and overnight stay.

   Optional Experience: Begin your day with a breathtaking hot air balloon safari over the Mara at sunrise. This one hour flight offers spectacular aerial views of the wildlife and sweeping savanna landscapes, followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush before rejoining your guide for the rest of the day’s game drive

Day 3 · Masai Mara to Nakuru via Naivasha

   Nakuru

   one hour

   After breakfast at around 7:00 AM and check-out, you’ll make a stop at a traditional Maasai village from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM. This cultural visit allows you to interact with the local Maasai community, learn about their customs, visit their homes, and witness their famous jumping dance. From there, begin your drive toward Nakuru, with lunch en route. After lunch, head to your lodge, arriving by around 4:00 PM for check-in. Spend the rest of the afternoon at

   leisure. Enjoy dinner and overnight at your lodge or hotel in Nakuru.

Day 4 · Lake Nakuru Game Drive & Lake Naivasha Boat Ride

   Lake Nakuru National Park

   3 hours

   After breakfast at 7:30 AM, check out from your lodge and head straight into Lake Nakuru National Park for a morning game drive from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM. The park is known for

   its white and black rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, flamingos (seasonal), and elusive leopards. After the game drive, begin your short drive back to Naivasha, arriving by 12:30 PM for lunch.

   Lake Naivasha

   In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Naivasha from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, where you’ll spot hippos and abundant birdlife.

   Crescent Island Game Sanctuary

   Take a guided walk on Crescent Island from 4:00 PM

   to 5:00 PM, a rare opportunity to walk alongside giraffes, zebras, and antelopes in a safe, predator-free environment. Check in to your lodge near the lake for dinner and overnight

Day 5 · Hell’s Gate National Park & Return to Nairobi
