Upon arrival at Poás Volcano National Park, your private guide will lead you on a scenic and easy walk (300 meters / 984 feet) through a lush cloud forest trail to the main crater viewpoint. Along the way, you'll learn about the unique volcanic ecosystem, local flora, and the park’s geological history.

At the viewpoint, you’ll stand before one of the largest active craters in the world, often steaming with volcanic gases. On clear days, the view is spectacular—perfect for photos and an unforgettable moment in nature. Your guide will explain the volcano’s activity, conservation efforts, and cultural importance.
