Begin your day with hotel pickup and head to the Ubud Monkey Forest, a nature reserve and Hindu temple complex home to over 700 Balinese long-tailed macaques. The forest is a sacred place for the local community and contains three ancient temples dating back to the 14th century, hidden within the dense jungle canopy. Take a leisurely walk through the forest and observe the macaques in their natural habitat, but be sure to keep a safe distance and follow the rules – no touching or feeding the monkeys!
