This remarkable site features intricate carvings and sculptures etched into the riverbed and banks, depicting Hindu deities, animals, and symbols. Banteay Srei is renowned for its detailed and elaborate carvings that cover the walls, lintels, and pediments of the temple. These carvings depict scenes from Hindu mythology, including stories from the Ramayana and Mahabharata, as well as intricate floral and geometric patterns. The craftsmanship is considered some of the finest in Khmer art.
