    China Town nestled on the side of Motomachi. You will feel like you are in a totally different area from when you step into this street.

  2. Venus Bridge

    one hour

    Beautiful skyline view of Kobe. Where couples write their names or short message on locks, attaches is it to the sculpture on top, and throw away the keys. Telescopes are available to look around.

  3. Meriken Park

    one hour

    We will be passing through Harbor land and Meriken Park.

    This is a beautiful port area for both locals and travelers alike.

    In Meriken there are many eateries and shops to browse.

  4. Kobe Motomachi Shopping Street

    30 min

    The place where locals love to shop. Closer to Daimaru store, the shops are more so cosmopolitan, and going towards the Kobe Station side, you see a mix of new, and old (many generations owned stores).

  5. Minatogawa Shrine

    30 min

    One of the two most popular shrines in Kobe City.

    It is a shrine, and for this one, it is more muted... without the famous orange/red every where.

    Very popular for many different important celebrations for locals.

  6. Kitanocho Hiroba

    Passing by

    Kitano area of Kobe. When Japan opened its borders once again, many foreign settlers from around the world built in this Kitano area. International feel, and unique buildings to see.

  7. Ikuta-Jinja Shrine

    One of two most popular shrines in Kobe City.

    Vibrant colors, old history, and getting to this shrine is fun because you go through the entertainment part of Kobe.

  8. Sannomiya Center Gai Shopping Street

    Passing by

    Sannomiya is a main entertainment area of Kobe.

    Izakayas, Karaoke box, niche bars, sake tasting, and Kobe Beef.

  9. Stop 9

    15 min

    On the temple grounds sits Hyogo Daibutsu, one of the three largest Buddha statues in Japan.

    Nofukuji Temple is also the 23rd stop on the Shin-Saigoku Pilgrimage and the eighth of the Thirteen Buddhist Sites of Kobe.
