Itinerary

Day 1 · Chengdu--Panda Base--Leshan Buddha--Mount Emei. O/N Emei(The foot of the Mountain/Baoguo Monastery).

Chengdu

In the morning, our tour guide will sign your name and meet your hotel lobby at 08:00am and transfer to Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base, need 30 minutes driving, 15km.
Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding

Chengdu's Giant Panda Breeding Research Base is home to over 80 of China's iconic pandas. Most are of the familiar black and white variety, but the Base is also home to a number of the smaller, lesser-known red pandas.

You'll view the animals eating and at play in a carefully maintained habitat that is as close to their natural environment as possible. You'll also learn how scientists and ecologists are working to protect the few remaining wild pandas and expand the captive population. On that last note, over 100 bears have been born at the Base since 1987.

The Base became even more important after the Sichuan earthquake of 2008, with eight bears sent here from the badly damaged Wolong reserve. Your visit provides both moral and financial support for the ongoing conservation effort.
Leshan Giant Buddha

Experience the Giant Buddha of Leshan, one of Chinese Buddhism's holiest sites, on this amazing full-day tour from Chengdu.

Dating from the 8th century, the Giant Buddha of Leshan is the largest carved stone Buddha and the tallest pre-modern statue in the world. It was cut from the cliffs of Lingyun Shan in the hopes of calming the turbulent waters of the three rivers that flow together under its gaze. Stairs are carved into the cliff that connect the area at the Buddha's feet with the land above, allowing you to view this astonishing sight from a range of vantage points. Views are stunning over elbows and knees, taking in the river scene and Leshan's skyline.

Upon arrival in Leshan, we have lunch at a restaurant within sight the Giant Buddha. We'll then explore the Giant Buddha and enjoy fantastic views of the surrounding landscape from atop the Buddha's head.

Wen then pay a visit to Lingyun Temple and Museum and get a deeper insight into the history of this amazing Buddhist site and learn the story of the carving of the Giant Buddha.
Baoguo Temple

Afterwards, take the private car to Bao Guo Temple, the largest temple at Emei Mountain, is the doorway to the mountain as well as the center of Buddhist activity of Emei Mountain. The temple faces the Phoenix Lake and backs onto the Phoenix Plains; it welcomes the sun-rise each morning and is the last place to see sun-set at dusk.

The temple was constructed on the right side of Crouching Tiger Temple in Ming Dynasty and was originally named the Hui Zong Hall, with an intension of gathering Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoist. In early Qing Dynasty, the Hui Zong Hall was moved to the actual residence and rebuilt. In 1703, the name was changed to "Bao Guo" which literally translates as "serve the nation".
Emeishan

When we finished the Baoguo temple tour, our guide will escort you to your hotel of the food Emei mountain.

Day 2 · Emei mountain--Leidongping--Golden Summit--Chengdu. The tour end.

Emei Mountain

In the morning, Our tour guide and driver will meet you at your hotel lobby at 08:00am then head to Emei mountain tickets office.

Today is a full day visiting on Emeishan. Firstly, take sightseeing bus to the upper station and need 2hrs driving and due to the mountain zig raod, try to sit in front the part bus and drinking less water in the morning.

The Mount Emei (Emeishan) is not only famous as World Heritage Site of both culture and nature, but also known as one of the Four Great Buddhist Mountains in China and home to 5000 kinds of plants (more than the total plants of Europe) and over 2300 kinds of wild animals. It is ideal place for hiking, Buddhist culture exploration, photography, winter holiday, summer hot retreat, and suitable for visiting all year around.
Stop 2

when we reach the Leidongping bus station,then we hike about 30 minutes to get to the Jieyingting Cableway Station. Then we can take cableways to the top of Emeishan – Golden Summit.

After the cable car, just few minutes waking, we can see the Golden Summit and can stay 40-60 minutes there. The experience on the Golden Summit is fabulous – sparkling golden Buddha statue, grandiose temples, endless stretching cloud sea, fresh air, etc.
Emeishan

one hour

Next, take the cable car and shuttle bus back to the food of the mountain(the same way go up), of course, if you want see more, can stop for Wannian temple then hiking for a while and you can discuss with our guide.

When we reach the tickets office, we will have a lunch before the transfer back to Chengdu.
Chengdu

After the lunch, we will Transfer to Chengdu hotel/airport/train station. End of our services.
