San Diego's first ever Family Sailing Tours

About this activity

We are based in San Diego and we are designed for families. Our whole mission is to bring families closer together. We want to put smiles on everyone’s faces; parents, children, and grandparents alike.

Our vessel, the Sea Monkey, is a 35 foot yacht. On board you will have a designated captain , at your service, making sure you have a safe and memorable sail.

You will have 2 options for your sail.

Head to Coronado Bridge:

In this option, we will sail along the US Midway, see landmarks like the Kissing statue, the Rady Shell, seaport village, view Coronado island and we will go under the Coronado bridge.

Go see the Seals:

This option is best in the morning when the winds are calmer. Here we will be sailing for around an hour there, circle the seals a few times, and head back. In some rare scenarios, you might view a dolphin or two.

    Passing by

The Sail is 2.5 hours long, leaves from Safe Harbor Sunroad Marina and cruises down along the coastline between Downtown and Coronado, and returns back to Safe Harbor Sunroad. We will open sails if weather permits, so expect a little bit of leaning. It can get chilly when on the water so remember to bring warm clothes. Life Jackets will need to be worn by all guests age 12 and under. There are life jackets for everyone on board.

  2. Point Loma

    Passing by

You have 2 choices for this sail. ou can choose to either go to see the sea lions in point loma, or head to downtown. If you choose the sea lions, we will head out and take a spin around so that you and your family can soak in the experience.

  3. Seaport Village

    Passing by

If you choose to go see Downtown San Diego, we will first visit to the USS midway, where we will sail along the port, seeing everything from a different perspective. Next, we will sail along seaport village. We will see landmarks such as the "Unconditional Surrender (sculpture)". We will go along the port line and we might wave to the families walking down on the shore, see flying kites and get the whole view of seaport village.

  4. Coronado Bridge

    Passing by

As a final touch, we will get the exciting opportunity to sail right under the Coronado Bridge- a once in a life time experience- seeing the bridge from a totally new view!
