This limited-time trekking experience amid stunning autumn foliage offers a unique adventure that can only be enjoyed during this special season.
In this tour, you hike up the mountain to the Sipporyuji temple with our guide through the primeval forest which has been a training basement for Yamabushi, the Buddhist monk. Shipporyuji Temple
30 min
Stone pillars are lined up on both sides of the approach, and red and black flags are erected. It is a Shugendo-style temple, with many shrines and Buddhist statues. The syncretism of Shinto and Buddhism is evident, with the Hotei statue visible behind the stone torii gate. The Inunaki River flows through the mountains, and there are seven waterfalls and places to practice.
