About this activity
This is much more than a cooking class. For nearly 10 years, our family has welcomed travelers into our real home in Thessaloniki, where you cook, eat, talk and share the table with us as a guest of the family.
Our recipes have been passed down through generations, including our family moussaka recipe, prepared for well over a century. Many fresh ingredients come from our family garden in our village outside Thessaloniki, while other products are sourced from trusted local producers.
Our home has also welcomed chefs from Greece and abroad, including chefs working in Michelin-starred environments, as well as BBC and CNN teams who came to experience and document our family cooking and hospitality.
You don’t simply learn Greek recipes — you discover the people, stories, traditions and flavors behind them, and experience Greek hospitality exactly where it belongs: around a family table.

Itinerary
Step into our real Greek family home in Thessaloniki and begin with homemade cheese pie and bougatsa while getting to know our family. Then roll up your sleeves and cook a complete Greek meal from scratch. You’ll prepare Greek village salad and tzatziki, peel and cook potatoes and eggplants, make baked feta with tomato, peppers and kasseri, and take part in every step of our family moussaka, including the béchamel. While the food is cooking, taste Greek cheeses, dakos, dolmadakia and other local products, accompanied by Greek wine. Traditional ouzo, tsipouro and mastiha are also available. After cooking, learn a few simple steps of a traditional Greek dance with Dora, then sit together around our family table and enjoy the meal and homemade dessert. Throughout the experience, we’ll share stories about our family, Greek traditions, Thessaloniki and everyday life in Greece. Vegetarian, gluten-free and lactose-free guests are welcome, and the menu can be adapted to dietary needs.
