Itinerary

Day 1 · Zanzibar to Mikumi National Park – Into the Wild

  1. Mikumi National Park

    8 hours

Your adventure begins with a scenic morning flight from Zanzibar to Mikumi National Park, where the vast wilderness of Southern Tanzania unfolds beneath you. Upon arrival at Kikoboga Airstrip, meet your safari guide and head straight into the heart of the park for an unforgettable game drive across the legendary Mkata Floodplains, often compared to the Serengeti for their sweeping landscapes and rich wildlife.

Track elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeests, hyenas, and other wildlife roaming freely across the savannah while enjoying the thrill of an authentic African safari. Pause for a hot lunch in the bush before continuing your afternoon game drive through Mikumi’s diverse landscapes as the golden light of sunset transforms the wilderness. Later, retreat to the camp for dinner and a relaxing evening under the African sky.

Day 2 · Game Drive in Mikumi & Afteroon Flight Back to Zanzibar

  1. Mikumi National Park

    8 hours

After an early breakfast, enjoy a full day of game viewing in Mikumi, focusing on the iconic Mkata floodplains—often likened to the Serengeti for their sweeping vistas and abundant wildlife. Look out for lions, zebras, wildebeest, impalas, and buffaloes, often seen from termite mounds or even treetops during the rainy season.

Stop for a hot lunch before continuing to the Hippo Pool, a popular watering spot for elephants, lions, and other wildlife. Later, drive to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar, closing your journey with a truly memorable safari experience.
