The Voortrekker Monument

This magnificent monument showcases the history of the Boer Trekkers who left the Cape Colony around 1835. Today this monument is more of a heritage conservation the home of Afrikaner culture. Built on a hilltop you can see it from any direction of Pretoria.
Kruger Museum

Once home to the former President of South Africa Paul Kruger. The house now museum consists of the house and its furniture which portray the former president's personality opposite the house is the Kruger Church.
Church Square

Originally market square the historic Church Square became known as church square because of the 3 churches that were previously built in the centre of the square. However, the centre is famous for the statue of Paul Kruger at the centre of the square.

Designed by Herbert Baker the Union Buildings are built at the highest point of Pretoria City these are the government buildings and is also the presidential residency and offices. In the gardens, there is the biggest statue of Nelson Mandela in the country.
