About this activity

Admire Jasper National Park’s spectacular beauty from the illuminating and exciting Glacier Skywalk. A 1,312-foot-long (400-meter) walkway that extends nearly 100 feet (30 meters) into Sunwapta Valley, the Glacier Skywalk provides unobstructed views of Alberta’s mountain peaks and glacier-formed valleys. The observation platform at the end of the walkway puts you almost 1,000 feet above the valley floor, with a glass bottom to give you an extra thrilling experience.

Admission included

Step out on a cliff-edge walkway where giant glaciers perch above you and the spectacular Sunwapta Valley spreads out below. The Columbia Icefield Skywalk experience features waterfalls, wildlife, fossils and more on an exciting 1-kilometre walkway that leads to a platform where glass is all that separates you from a 918-foot (280 m) drop. The walk is presented in an interpretive storytelling format that will connect you to the natural world in a deep and meaningful way.

You must park at the Columbia Icefield Discovery Center and take the bus to the Skywalk.

Using your ticket

Show your voucher at the Ticket Desk in the Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre to receive your official entry ticket.

You may head to boarding 10 minutes prior to your departure time.

Your tickets will be scanned at the end of the boarding process.

You may then board the shuttle bus taking you on your tour.
