About this activity

Depart from Reykjavik, you’ll journey with a lively group and an expert driver dedicated to finding the aurora’s breathtaking glow and see the majestic Northern Lights dancing across the sky. Catching a glimpse of the northern lights is a once-in-lifetime, bucket-list experience for many. In Iceland, you have the best chance of seeing the night lights when it’s dark outside, in areas with no cloud cover, and when solar activity is high.

While some tourists try to view the northern lights on their own, choosing a guided tour increases the chances of seeing them in Iceland. Instead of relying on luck, a team of experts reviews the weather conditions, monitors the aurora forecast, and finds the best locations to spot auroras. If the skies are shy, try again free of charge as many times as you need until you see them! Learn about the phenomenon by visiting the Aurora Centre - Northern Lights Exhibition in Reykjavík; admission is included in this tour!
