About this activity

Sometimes, it might be difficult to understand modern art and its meaning, which is, in fact, not less significant than in the artworks by Old Masters.

Would you like to find out what ideas are hidden in contemporary art? Or, would you like to get a better knowledge of specific art movements? If so, we are very glad to invite you to one of the most interesting places - Stedelijk Museum, famous for its iconic collection of contemporary art!

Would you like to learn how to look at modern art? It’s easy! Starting with classic movements, such as impressionism, cubism, abstractionism, ‘De Stijl’ and etc. we will slowly move towards the 21st century with its famous artists and designers, such as Marcel Wanders, Jeff Koons, and so on. We will learn how to interact with contemporary art, build our own virtual dialogue with the art pieces, and get inspired.
