Itinerary

We start at the same put in point as our whitewater rafting trip - just 20min drive outside Jinja town. Minimum number is 4 people. After a quick safety briefing we push out to the river above the rapid ‘Jaws’ a big volume grade 2+ rapid which will get us wet and the adrenaline pumping! Pyramid rapid (Grade 2) and the grade 1 ‘Giggitty Giggitty’ rapid are next before we float and meander our way down the river, taking our time to swim and enjoy the riverine life and the nature around us. A 6km section of river in total we take out just above the big grade 5 rapids of ‘Overtime’ and ‘The Dutchman’. Combine this trip with a brunch or lunch at The Haven lodge which is right next door to our end point, or we will transport you back to Jinja. This trip will combine the logistics of our whitewater trips as a standard - which means sticking to the timings as stated on this page. This is a perfect trip for school groups looking for a half day itinerary and can be combined with other activities for an incredible adventure day in Jinja.
