The valley is home to the rare Panaxia Quadripunctaria butterflies, which cover the trees during the summer months, especially in July and August, creating a truly magical atmosphere.

There are free-access walking areas in the valley, but visitors wishing to explore the main butterfly reserve must pay a small entrance fee on-site.
