6 Day Gorillas, Golden Monkeys and Chimp Trek at Kibale

Day 1 · Transfer from Entebbe/Kampala to Kibale Forest National Park

   Entebbe

   6 hours

   Our representative will pick you up in Entebbe or Kampala and drive to Kibale National Park. The drive to Kibale National Park will go through the amazing landscapes of western Uganda. You will arrive at Kibale National Park in the afternoon, ready to start dinner and relaxed night.

Day 2 · Chimpanzee trekking at Kibale Forest National Park and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

   Kibale National Park

   5 hours

   You will head to the Kibale forest immediately after breakfast to trek the chimpanzees in their forest home. If you are lucky on the trek, you might encounter other different species of monkeys in the Kibale forest. These include colobus monkey, olive baboon, and red-tailed monkey.

2. 2

   Queen Elizabeth National Park

   3 hours

   Transfer from Kibale Forest National Park after chimp trekking to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive from Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park will go through the spectacular Fort Portal crater lakes.

Day 3 · Kasenyi game drives, Ishasha sector for tree climbing lions - Transfer to Bwindi National Park

   Queen Elizabeth Forest Park

   4 hours

   You will start the day with an early morning breakfast at the lodge. Afterward, we proceed to the famed Kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park to spot various species of wild animals. Kasenyi plains dwell in the vast savannahs of the Albertine Rift in Queen Elizabeth National Park. It will be a morning full of adventure! Expect to encounter lions, herds of buffalos, elephants, Uganda kobs, topi, and bushbucks. While spotting the "Big Five" in the park is not guaranteed, on a lucky day, you may site leopards to make it the "Big Four."

   Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

   5 hours

   We will drive to Bwindi National Park after the early morning game drives at the Kasenyi plains.

Day 4 · Gorilla trekking at Bwindi National Park

   Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

   5 hours

   You will head to the Bwindi national park gate immediately after breakfast to get a briefing about the gorilla trek. The briefing will be conducted by the national park guide and will cover the basics of what to expect during the trek. It is at this point that you will be told which gorilla family to trek. It is likely that you will be joined by other visitors. The gorilla trek can take from a few to many hours depending on how far the gorillas are inside the forest.

Day 5 · Golden monkey trek at Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

   Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

   5 hours

   ​You will transfer from Bwindi Pational Park to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park to trek golden monkeys. The golden monkey trek will be done in 4-5 hours. Compliment the golden monkey trekking tour with a visit to the famous Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 6 · Sunrise Canoeing at Lake Bunyonyi and drive to Kigali

   ​Start the morning with breakfast and a sunrise canoeing experience at Lake Bunyonyi. Other activities at Lake Bunyonyi include bird watching, community walks, and cultural tours. We will then drive to Kigali via the Gatuna land border crossing in the afternoon.
