Itinerary

Strap on a PFD and helmet, then take on Colorado's Arkansas river with one of Journey Quest's well-trained, professional guides! You'll navigate iconic rapids such as Three Rocks, Spikebuck, and Shark’s Tooth. During the calmer sections in-between rapids, be on the lookout for Bighorn Sheep and waterfowl that populate the landscape. Eddy-out for a delicious riverside lunch, take a swim at a riverside swimming beach, and take a leap off a rock into the river at Double-Dip. This trip is Journey Quest's most popular beginner-intermediate trip that is perfect for families and groups.

Meeting point and pickup

Everyone meets at the meeting point.

Meeting point

From Colorado Springs, take I-25 to exit 140, and follow Hwy 115 South to Hwy 50.

Turn right (west) on Hwy 50 and travel West through Canon City.

From Canon City continue 8 miles West on Hwy 50, and turn left on County Rd 3A (Signs for Royal Gorge Park & Bridge).

Journey Quest is approx 1/4 mile on the right in front of the Royal Gorge KOA.

Plan on just over an hour from Downtown Colorado Springs.

End point

From Colorado Springs, take I-25 to exit 140, and follow Hwy 115 South to Hwy 50.

Using your ticket

Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your trip to check-in at our rafting office.

A waiver is required for each member of your party. Prior to your trip, please complete your waivers online here: https://journeyquest.org/waivers

You may need to click "Adjust Search Filter" and select the date of your reservation. Then look for the party leader's name on the reservation list.

There is no need to bring printed tickets or waivers with you to Journey Quest. We look forward to meeting you!
