The experience is topped off by learning how to play the Garifuna drums.

Your adventure begins as you set sail on a traditional Belizean fishing expedition with a local fisherman. Learn the age-old techniques of fishing, passed down through generations. Your next destination is the Palmento Grove Cultural and Fishing Lodge, Located on Kalipuna Cultural Heritage Island paradise a replicated charm of an authentic Garifuna village. Step into the Baba Sandu Spiritual Center, where our knowledgeable guides will enlighten you about the rich history of the Garifuna people. Stroll through our lush herbal garden, where you'll discover the secrets of traditional herbs. Culinary Adventure: Head to our cultural kitchen, where you'll cook over an open fire stove known as a fire heart. You'll prepare a mouthwatering dish called 'Hudut', a staple in Garifuna cuisine. Savor the fruits of your labor as you indulge in the exquisite flavors of Hudut. Conclude your adventure on a high note with a captivating Garifuna drumming session led by our master instructor.
