The Golden Circle consists of three equally stunning locations in southwest Iceland: Þingvellir National Park, the Geysir Geothermal Area, and Gullfoss waterfall. These sites are renowned across the world and are all as spectacular as they are unique. The South Coast of Iceland is famed for its wealth of landmarks and dramatically diverse scenery. Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss are two impressive waterfalls while the black sand beach Reynisfjara is renowned for its fascinating geology, with the Reynisdrangar sea stacks and Dyrhólaey rock arch. Day 1 · Golden Circle

Thingvellir National Park

Visit the oldest parliament house in the world in this world heritage site. Stand between the Eurasian and North-American tectonic plates.

Visit the geothermal geyser that erupts every 8–10 minutes & reaches heights of 20 meters.
Gullfoss Falls

Stunning, iconic waterfall falling 32 meters into a canyon & often creating a rainbow.

Day 2 · South Coast

Seljalandsfoss waterfall

The first stop is at Seljalandsfoss waterfall where you can walk behind the tumbling water flow and feel the vibrations of the water hitting the ground.
Skogafoss

Prepare to meet the pearl of the South Coast, Skógafoss waterfall. Majestically tucked in a wide gorge, the waterfall tumbles down 60 metres from up above a cliff into a small river, producing a cloud of mist and spray that rainbows like to dance in during sunshine.
Reynisfjara Beach

The black sand beach of Reynisfjara where the Atlantic coastline presents massive waves hitting the unique basalt columns in the cliffs above the sand.

Day 3 · Jökulsárlón

Glacier Lagoon

Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, a 200m deep glacial lake fed by Breiðamerkurjökull, an outlet glacier of Europe’s largest glacier.
Fellsfjara

The icebergs from Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon float into the Atlantic Ocean where they are quickly thrown back to shore by the tide and winds. This black sand beach is full of smaller ice rocks in all shapes and sizes, sparkling like diamonds in the daylight.

This means that all tour companies are only allowed to stop at certain designated bus stop locations in the centre of Reykjavík to pick up the guests from hotels or other accommodations in this restricted area.
