Itinerary

  1. Praca do Marco Zero

    30 min

The square was originally called Praça Barão do Rio Branco, but became known as Praça do Marco Zero due to the fact that it is home to the kilometer zero of Pernambuco's roads. It is formed by a red colored marker donated by the Automobile Club. On the side of the square is a bronze statue of the Baron of Rio Branco, 2.80 m high, by sculptor Felix Charpentier. In the center, one can see the compass rose by painter Cícero Dias.

  2. Patio de Sao Pedro

    30 min

Recife was famous for its high colonial houses, which appear in history books and photographs of the nineteenth century. They were located in other parts of the city and were almost all demolished. The Pátio de São Pedro is a collection of low colonial houses, and the extraordinary São Pedro dos Clérigos Church stands out. It is a return to the past in the middle of the big city.

  3. Stop 3

    30 min

Opportunity to be near symbols of Pernambuco carnival, this represents the visit to the house of the giant dolls. There you can know its history and how they are manufactured.

  4. Kahal Zur Israel Synagogue

    30 min

The Kahal Zur Israel Synagogue is located in Recife, the capital of the Brazilian state of Pernambuco. It was founded in 1636 by Dutch Jews, making it the oldest synagogue in the New World

  5. Oficina Ceramica Francisco Brennand

    40 min

Museum and studio of a Brazilian plastic artist with ceramic art, sculptures and paintings.
