The the jetty, 400m towards Dunedin city from Portobello township.

You will see a boatshed with signs reading 'Wildlife and Ferry'.

Allow 10 minute flat easy walk to the ferry, from the township. Or park right by the wharf.

Pickup points

PORTOBELLO-The wharf is 10 minutes walk from the On the Spot store in Portobello. From the Portobello store, walk towards Dunedin city for about 400 metres, until you reach a boatshed with signs reading 'Wildlife and Ferry'.

PORT CHALMERS-The wharf (at Back Beach) is only a few minutes walking from the main street of Port Chalmers. And the cruise ship terminal building, Port Chalmers.

From the main town, or the cruise ship terminal building, walk towards the logging area in Port Chalmers.

The foot path will lead you to the wharf area. Walk 5-10 minutes until you reach the wharf at Back Beach, by the port Chalmers Yacht Club.

After confirming with our office staff which time you wish to book,

please just tell the skipper your first name on boarding.

The ticket is a return ticket.

Please note that you will be returned to your point of original departure, approx 2 or 2.5 hours later. We will send you a message on booking, to confirm your return time.
