    Meiji Jingu Shrine honors Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken, who had led Japan through a period of rapid modernization starting in the second half of the 19th century. The facility's vast forest, which spans approximately 70 hectares, was created by transplanting approximately 100,000 trees donated from all over Japan. The shrine celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2020.

    The 350-meter Takeshita-dori Street, starting across the road from JR Harajuku Station, is geared towards Tokyo's fashion and trend-conscious set. It starts at its highest point in Harajuku, crosses Omotesando (where you'll find landmarks like the Ralph Lauren store and Gyre shopping center), and continues down to the Miyashita-koen intersection in Shibuya. The street's official name, Kyu-Shibuya-gawa Yuhodoro, is often shortened to "Yuhodo" by locals.

    Unlike the crowded and energetic Takeshita-dori in Harajuku, Cat Street offers a more relaxed and understated atmosphere. It's a back street with a distinct vibe, reminiscent of the Minami-Aoyama fashion district. While it's gained fame over the years, Cat Street maintains its laid-back charm, avoiding the hard-sell approach of some other shopping areas. Here, you can leisurely explore unique merchandise, from clothing and accessories to food and drinks, all in a more relaxed setting.
