Mystras is an exceptional example of a well preserved fortified Byzantine city, a World Cultural Heritage Monument protected by Unesco since 1989.
Take a guided tour, which lasts approximately two hours, of the town and learn about the history of the castle-town. Visit the churches and the monastery of Pantanassa, the only place that is inhabited nowadays. The palace and the fortresses are typical examples of Byzantine architecture.
