Guided Tour
The Palatine Chapel, located inside Palazzo Pitti, is a fine example of Baroque religious architecture. Commissioned by the Medici and later enriched by the Lorraine dynasty, it served as the private place of worship for Florence’s ruling families.
Its interior is adorned with spectacular frescoes, intricate stuccoes, and gilded details, creating an atmosphere of grandeur and solemnity. The chapel also houses valuable sacred artworks and altarpieces.
Visiting the Palatine Chapel means discovering a hidden gem of Palazzo Pitti, where faith, art, and opulence blend together, offering a unique glimpse into the spiritual life of Florence’s Grand Dukes.
