Potala Palace

Potala Palace is the worldwide known cardinal landmark of Tibet, it is renowned as residence of the Dalai Lama lineages (Avalokiteshvara). The massive structure itself contains a small world within it. It's the focal points of pilgrims from the entire Tibetan world.
Jokhang Temple

Jokhang temple is the most sacred shrine in Tibet which was built in the 7th century and located at the heart of old town in Lhasa, multitudinous pilgrims are circumambulating and prostrating in their strong faith.
Barkhor Street

The 1,300-year-old circumambulation around the Jokhang Temple called Barkhor street, it is a good place to purchase souvenirs.

Sera monastery is famous for its Buddhism philosophical debate practice, the clapping sound and aggressive expression of the monks are well worth to see, monks' debate is not available on Sundays.
Norbulingka (Precious Stone Garden)

Norbulingka is the summer palace of Dalai Lama, it is crowded with picnickers and traditional activities during the Shoton (Yogurt) Festival.

Yamdrok Yumtso Lake

Morning drive up to Kampala pass (4794m), you will have a glimpse of Yamdrok-Tso and spectacular views of Holy Mount Nyenchen Khangsar in the distance. The turquoise-coloured Lake Yamdrok Yutso is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. Later, descend to the lakeside for a closer view of the lake.
Karo La Glacier

Continue driving to see the amazing spectacle of Mt. Nyenchen Khangsar glacier from Karo la pass. Then stop at Simila pass to see the Manla reservoir. Then proceed to Gyantse.
Palkhor Monastery and Kumbum Stupa

Mount Everest Base Camp

Drive cross over the Gyatsola pass (5,200m) and Gawula pass (5,250m), at the top of the Gawula you will see the spectacular Himalayan Ranges and its glorious peaks viz Mt. Makalu (8,463m), Mt. Lhotse (8,516m), Mt. Everest (8,844m), Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201m) and Mt. Shishapama (8,020m) from left to right. Clim down through numbers of switchback bends lead to the dry valley of Tashi Zom and then to today's highlight - Everest Base Camp. Enjoy the splendid sunset.

Rongbuk Monastery

Get up early to see the sunrise. Then visit Rongbuk, which is the highest monastery in Tibet and consist both monks and nuns. Later drive back to Shigatse.

Tashilunpo Monastery

Morning visit Tashilhunpo Monastery in Shigatse, one of the main Gelugpa monasteries in Tibet, it's the seat to the Panchen Lama, the second most important spiritual leader of Tibet. You will see this massive monastery's chapels and its ancient artifacts. If you like hiking, then the kora around the Tashilhunpo monastery (optional, about 2 hours) should not be missed, as it provides the amazing views of Shigatse and the surrounding countryside. Then drive back to Lhasa along the northern friendship way.

If you enter Tibet from Kathmandu, you have to get your GROUP VISA in the Chinese embassy of Kathmandu, as the individual visa is invalid. We will help you to obtain your group China visa in Kathmandu, please just send us your passport copies, you will also need to prepare a passport photo in advance. Our local representative will collect your original passport upon your arrival at Kathmandu, please kindly note that the Group Visa application requires a minimum of 3 working days to obtain.
