Discover the authentic life of Belén on a private tour led by a local guide from Iquitos. You will explore the famous Belén Market and Pasaje Paquito, where you will learn about the traditional uses of medicinal plants, Amazonian remedies, tobacco and ayahuasca. Afterwards, you will travel through Belén’s floating neighbourhoods in a traditional non-motorised canoe, observing houses built over the water and the everyday lives of riverside families. The experience lasts between 2.5 and 3.5 hours, offers personalised attention and is available in English or Spanish. If the weather and river conditions allow, you may also try piranha fishing as an optional activity.
