Despre activitate
Go beyond the National Mall on a private, self-drive adventure from Washington, DC to Old Town Alexandria and Mount Vernon. After check-in and an operating briefing near Union Station, take the wheel of a two-seat electric GoCar. Its built-in GPS guides the route and plays stories, history, and local insights as you travel.
Follow scenic roads near the Potomac River to Old Town Alexandria, where cobblestone streets, King Street, the waterfront, and the Torpedo Factory Art Center reveal the city’s colonial character. Continue toward Mount Vernon, George Washington’s former estate, with approximately one hour planned for exploring before returning to Washington, DC.
This is a self-guided rental experience rather than a convoy or traditional guided tour. Stop for photos and breaks when safe and legal, and explore at your own pace. Route completion and time at stops can vary with traffic and road closures.
