Located in the heart of Granada, the Plaza de las Pasiegas is a key point to understand the urban transformation of the city after the Christian conquest in 1492. Designed to open the way for Christian urbanism, this square offers the best view of the Baroque facade of the Granada Cathedral, conceived as a monumental stone altarpiece in the open air by the genius Alonso Cano in the 17th century.
Surrounded by ancient ecclesiastical colleges and the imposing cathedral architecture, the square is today an important meeting point where history, Baroque art, and the daily essence of Granada intersect. A perfect setting to start the tour of the historic center.

Upon entering the historic Calle Oficios, travelers will be surrounded by some of Granada's most significant buildings. From the outside, they will see the Gothic-Isabelline facade of the Royal Chapel—resting place of the Catholic Monarchs—next to the elegant Merchants' Exchange and the entrance of La Madraza. Guided by our expert, they will learn to identify the deep imperial iconography carved in the stone, such as the yoke and the arrows, while discovering the secrets of the transition from the Muslim to the Christian city.
