Continue deeper into the lake toward Taquile Island, known for its breathtaking scenery and UNESCO-recognized textile traditions. After arriving on the island, enjoy a scenic uphill walk along stone pathways overlooking the deep blue waters of Lake Titicaca. Along the route, your guide will introduce you to the customs of the Taquileños, a community famous for preserving ancient Inca traditions, agriculture, and weaving techniques passed down through generations.
At the main village, take time to appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and stunning mountain views before enjoying a freshly prepared local lunch made with regional ingredients. Following lunch, explore more of the island while learning about the social organization and cultural significance of Taquile’s world-renowned textiles, traditionally woven by the men of the community.
After time to relax and take photographs, descend toward the port to begin the return journey to Puno.
