Itinerar

  1. Lake Tarawera

    After a quick tour of Mount Maunganui, we drive through famous kiwifruit country and then through the epic Lakes District to view the Blue Lake, Lake Rotoiti and then the iconic Lake Tarawera; dominated by the still active volcano, Mount Tarawera . You will see ancient Maori rock drawings, and learn about the history of the world famous Pink and White Terraces and the Tarawera Volcanic eruption. Make sure you take your camera, as this is a truly spectacular location.

  2. Secret Spot Hot Tubs Rotorua

    Next we visit the stunning Secret Spot Hot Tubs and enjoy a relaxed lunch stop. Simply grab a bite and a drink and soak your feet, wander the stunning grounds or book your own private Hot Tub experience (extra charge).

  3. Redwoods, Whakarewarewa Forest

    To round out our relaxing day in the hinterland, we head to the famous Redwoods Forest. Breathe in the cool and clean air, and look out for native birdlife as you explore the many pathways on the ground, or upgrade to traverse the many swing bridges and walkways high up in the forest on the famous Treetop Walk (additional charge, highly recommended). This is an outstanding activity, and one of our absolute favourites in the region. What a way to wind up your day in nature!

  4. Okere Falls

    45 min

    On our way home, we take a peek at the tallest commercially rafted waterfall in the world! We usually get to see the rafters and kayakers shooting down the falls, but even if they are not there, it's a stunning sight to see. Depending on time and fitness levels, there are different walking distance options: 1 minute (top of the falls), 12 minutes (best viewing area), 15 Minutes (includes Hinemoa's steps and takes you to the base of the falls as well). This is just another highlight on this stunning day trip.

Important note:

Please don't worry about published start and end times - we know when your ship is in and will confirm start and end times with you closer to the tour date. We time all our tours to suit your ship docking times.

We will be standing in front of the flagpole just outside the Cruise Port Exit. We will have a sign with "A Day in the Bay" and your name on it. Please try to be there 10 mins prior to the trip leaving.

When you step off the ship, turn left and walk 50-100M out the port gates. Once out the gates, look to your right and the flagpole is there.

We provide a fully guided experience using Mercedes Vans with panoramic windows.
