Itinerar

  1. St. Peter's Basilica

    30 min Intrarea inclusă

Our tour begins in the magnificent St. Peter’s Square, one of the most iconic and harmonious spaces in the world. Designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini! During our 15–20 minute stop, guests will learn about the history, symbolism, and ceremonies that have taken place in this grand square for centuries.

During the visit inside St. Peter’s Basilica, you will discover one of the most extraordinary interiors in the world. As the largest church in Christendom, the basilica impresses immediately with its immense scale, golden details, and breathtaking harmony of Renaissance and Baroque art. Here we explore masterpieces such as Michelangelo’s La Pietà, Bernini’s monumental Baldachin above the papal altar, the grand dome designed by Michelangelo, and the richly decorated chapels that honor saints and popes throughout history. Every corner reveals centuries of devotion, artistic genius, and monumental architecture, making the interior of St. Peter’s a truly unforgettable highlight of the tour.

  2. Baldacchino di San Pietro, Di Bernini

    10 min Intrarea inclusă

At the heart of St. Peter’s Basilica stands the magnificent bronze Baldachin designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Rising nearly 30 meters above the papal altar, this monumental canopy marks the tomb of St. Peter below.

  3. La Pieta

    10 min Intrarea inclusă

Inside St. Peter’s Basilica, guests will admire La Pietà, Michelangelo’s extraordinary sculpture carved when he was only 24 years old. This iconic masterpiece depicts the Virgin Mary gently holding the body of Christ after the Crucifixion, capturing both sorrow and serenity in remarkable detail. The lifelike folds of Mary’s robe, the youthful and peaceful expression on her face, and the perfect harmony of the composition make it one of the greatest works of Renaissance art. Today, the statue is protected behind glass, but its emotional power remains unforgettable.

  4. The Vatican Grottoes

    10 min Intrarea inclusă

Descend beneath St. Peter’s Basilica and uncover one of the Vatican’s most sacred and mysterious places — The Vatican Grottoes. On this guided tour, you’ll explore the underground tombs of popes and saints, walk through centuries of history, and see the foundations of the original 4th-century basilica built by Emperor Constantine.
