    San Anton Castle is a 16th century fortress located in A Coruña, originally built as part of the city's defensive system against attacks by sea, especially by English and French privateers. It stands on a small island joined today by a walk to the port.

    Over time, in addition to its military function, it was used as a prison. It currently houses the Archaeological and Historical Museum of A Coruña, where pieces from different eras are exhibited, from archaeological remains to art collections and historical objects.
