Hi, I am Mark, your experienced guide and I offer a fun and informative tour, with stories of not just history, but the people who lived in the town and the characters that make the town what it is today.
You will start off by meeting ‘Nelson’ our ‘Grand Old Man of the Sea’ and from there we will wind our way through the beautiful harbour town, the hidden backstreets, the quay side and the wonderful bridge ending up at our magnificent beachfront and ‘Banjo Pier’
Along the way learn about the history of the town, its building and its people. See the hidden streets and buildings that you wouldn’t normally see, and hear stories fo the characters that have worked here .
The tour is fun, light and informative, and you are free to ask me questions to make the most of your experience.
I will recommend local places to eat and drink, and know the area well.

Exploring the streets and haunts of East and West Looe, you will discover tales of the characters who lived here, the history behind the town and stories about how the town got to be how it is today.
We spend 90 minutes exploring and discovering the hidden gems of our beautiful harbour town. Some of the attractions are listed below, but many are hidden away that only we will discover!!

We will spend time on Pennyland meeting 'Nelson' and then talk about the old Sardine Factory, the influence of the fishing industry, before heading to West Looe Quay and beyond

Old Guildhall Museum & Gaol

We will talk about the wonderful history of the Guildhall, built in 1450, and the many changes it has seen, including Royal Charters, Coats of Arms and tales of the magistrates courts here.

We meet just by the bus stop opposite the fire station in the Quayside Centre, West Looe Quay.
My name is Mark and I will be at the meeting point 10 minutes before the start time.
I wear a branded Polo shirt and carry a branded A3 case with Looe Walking Tours Logo on.

We end overlooking the wonderful Banjo Pier and Beach in East Looe, allowing you to continue your exploring in East Looe once the tour ends.
