Fort William: Steall Falls & Nevis Gorge Hike

From the car park we'll visit the nearby Polldubh Falls (Black Pool). We'll then walk through the forest, along the banks of the Water of Nevis. There are lots of small waterfalls and pools along the way. We'll cross Paddy’s Bridge to the road for a short walk to the start of Nevis Gorge. The terrain get's a little steeper and rocky, but your guide is on hand to help if necessary. At the end of the gorge, we exit into the stunning Glen Nevis. A short walk takes us to the imposing Steall Falls waterfall. For anyone feeling adventurous, there's a wire rope bridge over the river. Optionally, we can walk to the base of the waterfall. This ground is boggy and rocky. We'll walk back on the same route, but the views change in the opposite direction. This walk takes 3-4 hours depending on whether you cross the rope bridge. A mandatory Medical & Consent form is required.
