Despre activitate
At Steam Tours, your comfort and a truly personal experience come first. With small groups, everyone gets individual attention and a chance to connect with the passionate guides.
We don’t follow fixed routes. The expert guides use real-time technology and experience to track the Northern Lights, taking you to the best viewing spots each night. This flexibility gives you the highest chance of witnessing this unforgettable wonder.
The guides are also skilled photographers, capturing the aurora and portraits of you under the glowing sky, creating memories to treasure and share.
Traveling in a comfortable minibus, we reach hidden spots away from crowds where conditions are best. Along the way, enjoy cozy touches like hot drinks, and even a bonfire when possible.
We know your wish is to see the Northern Lights, and while nature can’t be guaranteed, we promise to do everything possible to give you the best chance.

We meet in Tromso, but we travel where the sky is the best!
This tour is specifically designed to maximize your chances of seeing the Northern Lights—a natural phenomenon that cannot be guaranteed. The weather around Tromsø can be unpredictable, with challenging road conditions and frequent cloud cover. These are the key reasons to join a tour with experienced guides who are familiar with the region and skilled at interpreting weather forecasts.
This is not a typical sightseeing tour; instead, it’s a dynamic chase to find clear skies, stars, and hopefully the Northern Lights.
Once we reach a location with stable and clear skies, we’ll set up a cozy bonfire surrounded by seating. You’ll be served warm soup and hot chocolate as you relax under the night sky. While you enjoy the magical display, our professional photographers will capture the moment. After the tour, you’ll receive free low-resolution photos—perfect for sharing on social media.
