    From Tiananmen Gate, you can walk toward the Forbidden City, the largest imperial palace in the world. With a history spanning over 600 years, this magnificent complex features 9,999.5 rooms and served as the residence and ruling center for 24 Chinese emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Spending a few hours exploring the highlights of the Forbidden City is highly recommended to fully appreciate its historical and architectural grandeur.

  7. The Great Wall at Badaling
