Walking through the streets of Comuna 13 in Medellín, being guided by a local born and raised in the city, who has lived through the entire transformation of this area, is a truly unique and revealing experience. Comuna 13 has gone through profound transformations over the years, from being considered one of the most dangerous areas in the world, to becoming a symbol of resilience and improvement.
You will notice how colorful murals tell the history of the community, art is lived in every step, escalators connect the hillsides and how people come together to celebrate life and culture.
