    We will begin our visit admiring, from the San Vicente Gardens, the impressive towers and canvases of our walls. Undoubtedly, the most representative monument that has given shape and life to the city of Ávila.

    The Pearl of the Avila Romanesque (National Monument). Towards the beginning of the s. Construction began in the 12th century on what ended up being the most important temple in the medieval city of Ávila. This basilica is located in one of the places where more archaeological remains have been found in the city, which denotes the importance of the area for the various peoples and cultures that populated Ávila.
