Along the way, Geoff shares stories of traditional plant medicine, early Cape history, and the vision that transformed Kirstenbosch into one of the world’s great botanical gardens.

We begin our journey in the heart of Kirstenbosch, surrounded by the beauty of indigenous fynbos and forest.
We walk beneath ancient trees as the stories of the land and its first peoples unfold around us.
We learn how the Khoi and San used these plants for healing, nourishment, and survival.
We rise above the canopy on the Boomslang walkway, taking in breathtaking views of Table Mountain.
We move through this living garden with reverence by walking in step with nature and history.
The walk is at a slow pace. We go as fast as the slowest person. The total distance is about 2 km over 3 hours.
