Born from the forced encounter between African peoples, Indigenous populations, and European colonization, it preserves knowledge, ingredients, and traditions that continue to shape Brazil’s cultural identity.
First introduced as Zungu Tour (a signature tour) at the "Black Travel Summit", this experience was renamed Afro Food Tour by Etnias to reflect its broader purpose: connecting history, culture, and gastronomy across the African diaspora.
Through historical sites, expert guides and tastings curated with Black culinary Chefs, discover how food carries ancestral knowledge, sacred traditions, and shared histories. More than a culinary tour, Afro Food Tour offers a deeper understanding of Black heritage, cultural continuity, and the people who keep these traditions alive.
