Panama la Vieja, the Ancient city, is a Monumental Complex that is an excellent tourist place to appreciate the historical structures of the first European and Spanish settlement on the Pacific side of the continent. where most of the trading in Las Americas at the time was happening. Here, you can enjoy a viewing point from the top of the cathedral, where you can see part of modern Panama City; in contrast, Panama La Vieja was declared a Historical Monumental Complex on December 22, 1976.
