Despre activitate
Who better to guide you through the heart of Charleston than a native Charlestonian? Discover Charleston's heart and soul as you walk through the picturesque streets and quaint alleyways of Charleston’s Historic District. Guided by Timothy Trouche, an eighth-generation Charleston native and third generation Charleston tour guide, you will learn how “The Holy City” withstood the test of time, rebuilding upon her ashes and ultimately being preserved as the gem you see today. Share in Tim’s hometown knowledge of Charleston’s rich history from its colonial days as Charles Town, through the American Revolution and Civil War. Each tour offers breathtaking views of the harbor, beautifully preserved historic homes, churches and gardens.

Meet your guide at 80 Broad Street next to the statue of George Washington. After leaving Washington Park, you will be guided through the French Quarter and South of Broad areas. You will be given glimpses of colonial churches, cobblestone streets, Georgian and Victorian architectural style homes, wrought iron gates and earthquake plates, along with incredible views of Charleston Harbor. Some of the local landmarks seen on the tour include St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, the Battery, and Rainbow Row.
